Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking

Source: Susan Cain

The secret to life is to put yourself in the right lighting.  For some it’s a Broadway spotlight; for others, a lamplit desk.  Use your natural powers – of persistence, concentration, insight and sensitivity – to do work you love and work that matters.  Solve problems, make art, think deeply.

  1. Cool, do you still have it? I would like to read it. Alternatively… I can weasel it out of the library. (And by weasel, I mean “borrow”)

  2. Oooh….I’m going to have to get on that hold list. I especially like that you describe it as not being “x is better than y.” That polarization is uneccessary and unhelpful. It’s all about harmony in the garden for me, be it silence and sound, yin and yang, bootie shaking and shavasana.
